Starting Over {A gift!}

Courage doesn't always roar.
Sometimes courage is the quiet voice
at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow."
- Mary Anne Radmacher

Some beautiful things about starting over:

The knowledge inside that you are strong enough.

Olympic Spa

A Korean Bath house is a little slice of heaven.  If you're like me, you may have only discovered this little treat recently, amongst all the other Burke Williams type spas you've been used to.
A friend introduced me a few years back, and I couldn't believe what an experience it was!  Since then I try to go whenever I have a big event or just need a little 'me' time.

My spa of choice: Olympic Spa.
This is not your average, feel good, fall asleep on the table spa.  This is a workout for your skin, limbs, and an exercise in feeling comfortable in your own body.  {You walk around naked amongst several other women!}  But the magic in this is that it feels old-world beautiful.
Soak in pools of different tea treatments, sweat away your toxins in one of the many sauna's, then get scrubbed and pampered until your skin feels like butter and your mind feels at peace.
My favorite treatment: Pure Bliss.
{includes body scrub, polish, deep tissue massage, scalp & facial massage, chamomile mask and a deep conditioning hair treatment}
After your massage, you're encouraged to drift off into dream land on the heated jade tiles with a cup of their homemade tea.
Now I see why it's called True Bliss! Truly.

Stumped Day: Destination Wedding Looks

Dear Lady Symposium,
Do I want this dress?  I realize that I want a fabulous, festive, fitted look for my welcome dinner and pretty soon (if not already) we'll be switching to fall fashions and I fear I won't be able to find something.  And also I hate shopping.  Love clothes. Hate shopping.   I want to be beachy and bright. Items that emphasize my waist are best. This isn't perfect, but with great shoes and necklace it could be pretty good.  Help!  Wait - have I told you that we decided on March 19 in Isla Mujeres, Mexico?

Bobby Dress - Pink
Dear Jenni,
Does this shape work on your body?  That's the most important thing ~ you want to look WOW.  What I would suggest is sitting down and creating an entire wedding theme "look" ~ so that all of your outfits are cohesive and work with the statement of your wedding.  Especially since it's destination and you'll have several nights of entertaining to do.

Take a look at your magazine tear sheets, colors for wedding, ideas and pics you have from the internet.  It's  your wedding week - ALL of your looks should be carefully considered and planned out!
{A kaftan with a tie waist is easy, and very flattering!}

Consider how many days you want to plan looks for.  You'll want a throw on fabulous look for the day (casual dress or cover-up over bathing suits), casual chic lunch type stuff, and then WOW dinner ensembles. So plan three looks for each day.  The goal is to find a few pieces that can be worn different ways, like a breezy cotton or linen pant.
{Victoria's Secret (in above two photos) has some great options!}

Summer shoes are totally on sale now... I think you could get away with one fab wedge, an embellished (flat) sandal, a perfectly comfortable & neutral flat, and two pairs of high heels (depending on your evening dresses & wedding shoes!)

I love that you'll be using bright colors, so incorporate that into your overall look too!  And the fact that we're going into Fall and transitioning from summer is a FANTASTIC thing, in my opinion.  That means you'll be getting all the warm weather gear for a fraction of the price right now.  {And you know I love a bargain!}  And you should too!  Especially when all of your money is going down the wedding hole!

Finally, my last piece of advice is to remember how fun all of this is.  Let yourself get swept away in the romance of it all... When I planned my wedding I found this music video that perfectly represented the theme I wanted for my entire wedding week.  I must have watched it a hundred times.  It still makes me smile.

So happy for you!!  You will be gorgeous!
